Some notable international matches held at the stadium include Poland vs Argentina, Argentina vs Italy, Poland vs Italy and Sweden vs Poland during the FIFA World Cup in 1974 and England vs Republic of Ireland, Soviet Union vs Italy as part of the FIFA World Cup in 2006.
