RB Leipzig calls The Red Bull Arena, formerly known as Zentralstadion, their home ground. With a capacity of 47,069, it is the largest stadium based in what is former East Germany. The stadium was the venue for 4 group matches and 1 knockout round match of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The venue played host to Serbia and Montenegro vs Netherlands, Spain Vs Ukraine, France Vs South Korea, Iran Vs Angola and Argentina vs Mexico.
The multipurpose stadium has also hosted several prolific concerts, including Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, Genesis, Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode, AC/DC, Coldplay, and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.
The Arena sits east of Leipzig city centre and the central railway station. You can walk to the stadium in between 20 and 30 minutes. Otherwise, you can take Trams 3, 7, or 15 from Leipzig HbF railway station.
