An Der Alten Forsterei

Home of Union Berlin, Stadion An der Alten Försterei has a capacity of 22,012 and opened originally in 1920. Getting to the stadium is relatively easy. The stadium is approximately 14km from Alexanderplatz in the centre of Berlin and 12km from the closest railway station, Ostbahnhof.

Aside from the football matches, the stadium has been used for a Linkin Park concert in 2015 and regular Christmas Carols Singing, known as Welhnachtssingen.

The most exciting event at the stadium was the World Cup Living Room. Union Berlin thought it would be a nice idea to invite fans to bring their sofas to the grounds to watch the 2014 World Cup in front of the big screen. More than 800 sofas sat on the pitch.
