WWK Arena

WWK Arena, based in Augsburg in Bavaria, is FC Augsburg's home and has a capacity of 30,660 with standing room for 11,034 and 19,060 as Augsburg was one of the host cities for the U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2010 and the Women’s World Cup in 2011.

Interestingly, WWK is the very first climate-neutral football ground in the world. This carbon neutrality is achieved by the use of six ecological heat pumps 40m deep underground. These produce the right temperature through heat exchangers. A bio-natural gas boiler provides needed energy during the high load times throughout a game.

As FC Augsburg are very passionate, home games can be a great experience, whether they are playing against the bigger teams or those at, the lower rankings of the Bundesliga.
