Rhein Neckar Arena

Located in Sinsheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Rhein-Neckar Arena is a multi-purpose stadium that serves as the home ground for 1899 Hoffenheim and caters to a capacity of 30,150 spectators. Interestingly, the town it is situated in only has a population of 36,000 people, just a few 1000 more than the stadium’s capacity.

The first game hosted at the stadium was between Hoffenheim and FC Energie Cottbus, with Hoffenheim winning 2-0. It also hosted the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011, where it hosted several matches and a couple of notable international friendlies between Germany and Peru and Germany and Israel. The Elsenz Valley Railway is only 1km away, and shuttle buses run from Sinsheim central station and is reachable via car using the Sinsheim-Sud junction along the federal motorway 6.
