While Borussia Monchengladbach was formed in 1900, they only joined the Bundesliga in 1965. During their first couple of decades, the team enjoyed a lot of success, such as five domestic trophies and 2 European trophies. However, following the 70s, the team had the worst 2 decades of their career, which eventually led to them being relegated from the Bundesliga in 1999.
Since then, the team’s owners have invested a lot of money into everything from their stadium, Borussia Park, and better coaching staff and players. Known for their aggressive style of football, the team has never given up, and their future feels very positive.
