Wolfsburg
Football Club

Established in 1945, initially as VSK Wolfsburg, VfL Wolfsburg is a team that's had numerous ups and downs. From the team almost finishing completely at the end of that same year, with all players apart from one leaving, to some truly spectacular high points.

Nicknamed Die Wolfe or The Wolves in English, the team made some notable signings in 2014, including Kevin De Bruyne from Chelsea and Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich. These changes to the line-up brought in some outstanding changes in their fortune, from coming second in the league and winning a total of 20 games out of 34, with only five of those being losses, to winning the Domestic Cup final against one of the biggest and best, Borussia Dortmund and the also obliterating Bayern Munich at home with a 4-1 victory.

The rollercoaster didn’t end there because the following season, they beat Manchester United, knocking them out of the European League group stage, and got a win against Real Madrid, with a final score line of 2-0. For most people, tickets to see VfL Wolfsburg are more than just for a football match, it is for a celebration of one of the most determined teams in football history.
