VfB Stuttgart
Football Club

The biggest team in the region of Baden-Wurttemberg, where SC Freiburg is also from. VfB Stuttgart was first formed in 1912 after the merging of Kronen-Club Cannstatt and Stuttgarter FV. Both of those teams have even earlier starting in the game. The club is known for its successful offensive style of aggressive football.

Despite spending some time in the second division, with the turn of the new millennium, Stuttgart were back in the main league and qualified for the Euro Championship in addition to bagging another Bundesliga title in 2007. They currently play in the Bundesliga after beating Hamburger SV in the relegation playoffs to ensure their stay in the Bundesliga for another season.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena is where they call home and was originally built in 1933. It has received several renovations over the years and now has a capacity of over 60,000. Like so many of the German football team’s fanbases, Stuttgart fans are no less enthusiastic.
