Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi is the home ground for the Italian Serie A team, Hellas Verona. Located in the city of Verona, it has a capacity of 39,211, making it the 8th biggest in the country. It takes its name from Marcantonio Bentegodi, the historic benefactor of Veronese sport.
During the World Cup in 1990, the venue was host to four matches, the group stages between Belgium and South Korea, Belgium and Uruguay, Belgium and Spain, and the round of 16 match between Spain and Yugoslavia.
The stadium is based in the southeast of the city centre. Walking from the main railway station takes under 15 minutes. Walking from the centrally located Piazza Bra and roman theatre will take a little longer, but still under 30 minutes.
