Stadio Comunale Carlo Castellani is a multi-use venue located in Empoli that serves as the home ground for the Serie A team Empoli FC. It has a maximum capacity of 16,284 and was initially built in 1923. It was only officially inaugurated and given to the team in 1965 when it was dedicated to the late Carlos Catellani, who died prematurely when he was being deported from the concentration camp in Mauthausen.
The structure consists of two tribunes, or grandstands and two curves. Recently, the Curva Sud was renovated, and older structures in the venue were replaced entirely. In addition to football, there are allowances for an athletics track to be set up at the venue for running and long jump events.
