Waldstadion is home to Eintracht Frankfurt, though it is currently known as Deutsche Bank Park for sponsorship purposes. One notable thing aside from its 51,500 capacity is the fact that it has a retractable roof. It is one of the ten largest stadiums for the beautiful game in Germany and was used as a venue for four matches, including the final, during the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
More than just a football stadium, there is also a swimming pool, beach volleyball court, tennis complex and winter sports hall all on-site. There is even a railway station that allows you access to the stadium via the national rail network.
Aside from football and other sports events, musicians like Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, The Rolling Stones, U2 and Guns N’ Roses have played there.
