1. FC Köln
Football Club

Formed in 1901, then known as Kolner BC, Koln’s nickname is the Billy Goats, and their mascot is also Hennes, a live goat. There has been more than one over the years – in fact, eight. The name Hennes comes from one of the most notable figures in the history of Koln, Hennes Weisweller, a former player and manager. Before they merged with the other local team, VfL Koln 1899, they had won several Westdeutscher championships. Since joining the Bundesliga, all of its home games have been played at RheinEnergieStadion, also known as Mungersdorfer stadion.

The biggest rivalry the team has is with Hamburger SV.

Despite having spent a lot of time at the top and bottom of the relegation/promotion ladder, the spirits of their supporters are always high. They have won the Bundesliga a couple of times and several other important German trophies and competitions.
