Stade Auguste-Delaune is the multipurpose venue that serves as the home stadium for Ligue 1 team Stade de Reims, better known as Reims. Opened in 2008, it has a modest capacity of just 21,684 and, aside from Reims matches, has played host to numerous international matches.
At the original venue, before it was rebuilt and opened in 2008, it was host to a FIFA World Cup match in 1938, the round of 16 between Hungary and Dutch East Indies that Hungary won 6-0. After the newly built stadium opened, it hosted 6 matches during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. These were the group matches between Norway and Nigeria, the United States and Thailand, Jamaica and Italy, South Korea and Norway, and The Netherlands and Canada. It was also the venue for a round of 16 matches between the United States and Spain.
