Rennes
Football Club

Based in Rennes in Brittany, Stades Rennais FC was formed in 1901 and was won by the founding members of the Ligue 1. The team play home games at the 29,778-capacity Roazhon Park. The best finish they have had in the ranking of Ligue 1 was 3rd, which they achieved in the 19-20 season. The team has also won 3 Coupe de France titles in 1965, 1971 and 2019, respectively. Despite the many changes to their name, the team’s colours have stayed the same – red, black, and white.

The FFF has recognised Rennes as having the best youth football academy in the country in the Henri Guerin Training Centre, which was founded in 2000. The under-19 team is the cornerstone of the academy and has won the Coupe Gambardella on three occasions in 1973, 2003, and 2008 and produced notable French talents like Sylvain Wiltord, Jimmy Briand, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Moussa Sow, Yann M’Vila, Yoann Gourcuff, Eduardo Camavinga, Yacine Brahimi, and Ousmane Dembele.
