Stade de la Meinau, commonly called La Meinau, is the home ground for Ligue 1 team Strasbourg. The last time refurbishment work was completed on the stadium was in 2001, and it currently has a maximum capacity for league games of 26,280. There is currently a renovation project that is ongoing to increase the capacity of the stadium to 32,300.
Aside from the fun and exciting Strasbourg home games, the venue has hosted several of the French team’s international friendlies. Those were: France and Norway, which Norway won in 1968, France and West Germany, in which the home side won 1-0 in 1984, France and Finland, which France won 2-0 in 1996, and France against Bosnia and Herzegovina, a draw.
