Lens
Football Club

Lens was originally founded in 1906 by local students who enjoyed playing football. Their current stadium is the 38.223-capacity Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Although the team have had its fair share of difficulties over their time as a professional football team in France, a recent string of successes has given its passionate and loyal fans some hope for the future.

Among their notable wins, they took the Ligue 1 trophy in the 97-98 season, the Ligue 2 trophy in 36-37, 48-49, 72-73 and 08-09, and won the Coupe de la Ligue in 98-99. They also were semi-finalists in the 99-00 UEFA Cup.

They are a fairly strong competitor for the title after coming 2nd place last season with a close race that finished in PSG winning the league by only 1 point. Could they recreate this success in seasons to come?
