Lyon, a French professional team that competes in the Ligue 1, was founded in 1950. They are based at Groupama Stadium and achieved a record-breaking of 7 consecutive Ligue 1 wins, following their first in 2002. They have also won 8 Trophees des Champions, 3 Ligue 2 titles and 5 Coupes de France.

It’s not just domestically that they made a name for themselves, as the team has played in UEFA Champions League an impressive 17 times, reaching the semi-finals during the 09-10 competition after only getting as far as the quarter-finals previously. They then did this again in 2019-2020.

Their fans love their approach to the game, a marriage made in green-pitched heaven of style and grace with an undeterred attitude. They are always a team that can never be truly counted out of a game, even when things are not looking so good.
