Jose Zorrilla is the municipally-owned stadium in Valladolid that serves as the home grounds for Valladolid. It has a maximum capacity of 27,618, which makes it the 22nd biggest stadium in the country. It was originally built in 1982 and took its name from the famous poet Jose Zorrilla. The first game played at the venue was a match between Athletic Bilbao and Valladolid on the 20th of February 1982. That game ended in a 1-0 victory to Valladolid.

As well as exciting games between Valladolid and the other skilful teams, it has also had the privilege of being the venue for the Copa del Rey final of 1982 between Real Madrid and Sporting de Gijon, in which Real Madrid won 2-1.

Then during the FIFA World Cup in 1982 hosted by Spain, three Group D matches were hosted at the venue. They were France vs Czechoslovakia, France vs Kuwait and Czechoslovakia vs Kuwait. As part of his HIStory tour in 1997, Michael Jackson performed to a full-capacity crowd at the stadium.
