Mallorca
Football Club

If there is one team in La Liga that has a reputation for performing some of the most exciting football in all of Spain, it’s the Palma de Mallorca-based team of the same name. Thanks to the team’s chequered past in both the Segunda Division and La Liga, they are one of the most unpredictable teams on the pitch. One of the cherished moments in the club’s history is undoubtedly why they played against Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey and won with a final score of 5-1 back in 2003. Before that, they reached the final of the European Cup in 1999, having dispensed with Chelsea to do it.

Home for the team is Estadi De Son Moix, and there you can see some captivating football. They have had Samuel Eto’o and Rafa Nadal’s uncle in their ranks. In terms of rivals, their fiercest competitor is their neighbour, Atletico Baleares, which has been named the Palma Derby.
