Often shortened to Real Betis or Betis, Real Betis Balompie is a professional Spanish football team based in Seville. Founded in 1907, the team has a vast 115 years of history and counting spent playing the beautiful game. They are nicknamed Los Verdiblancos, since their kit colours are green and white. The team has a chequered past in La Liga. Multiple relegations and other downturns in their success have given weight to their motto, “Long live Betis even if they lose”.

This is also evidence of their fan's love for the team. Betis have not been without their notable wins and successes, though. They won La Liga in 1935 and the Copa del Rey on three occasions. Most recently, in 2022, the earlier two times being 2005 and 1977. For a team that has experienced a rocky past, they still have quite a spacious and high-capacity stadium in the form of Stadio Benito Villamarin, which can play host to 60,720 fans.
