Europa-Park Stadion is where SC Freiburg call home. It is based in Freiburg and replaced the team’s original grounds of Dreisamstadion because that was too small and did not meet the standards for modern stadiums. The Covid-19 pandemic interfered with the opening of the new venue. It is designed to hold a total of 34,700 spectators.

Aesthetically, it is quite a traditional-looking modern stadium. The team’s name and crest are woven nicely into the seats. The move and change of venue have helped SC Freiburg and visitor team fans because it is much easier to access than earlier venues. From the A5 motorway, for example, you can get to the stadium in under 10 minutes. There are a lot of places to park around the stadium. Be warned, though, it might be a good idea to reserve your spot. There is also the Messe, Freiburg’s trade fair, where you can leave your car parked for just 10 euros, and it offers a quick 15-minute walk to the stadium.
