Groupama Stadium is the home ground for Ligue 1 team Lyon, replacing their previous stadium, the Stade de Gerland in 2016. It has a maximum capacity of 59,186 seated spectators and hosted several games during the Euro 2016 competition. Hosting four group matches, France vs Rep. of Ireland’s round of 16 games, and the Portugal vs Wales semi-final.
It takes its name from current sponsor Groupama, an insurance firm, and was also the host of the Europa League final in 2018.
The stadium is based in Decines, a Lyon suburb, and to the east of the city centre. It is easily reached by car, taking the N346/E15 motorway if you take exit 6.
You can also get there using public transport by taking the tram, as it is only 10 minutes from Decines Grand Large on tram line 3. Although this line normally runs north of the stadium, on match days, it will take you to the front of the stadium.
