Located in Getafe in the Community of Madrid, Getafe’s home ground is the 17,000-seats stadium known as Coliseum Alfonso Perez, which the club has used since 1998 when the building was completed on it. The first match held at the stadium was between Tavares and Getafe, with the home side winning 1-0. There was an official opening a couple of days later when a three-team tournament was played between Atletico de Madrid, Feyenoord, and Borussia Dortmund.
As fans have found it hard to adjust to the stadium because they feel it has an impersonal and cold feel, Getafe has been considering constructing a brand-new stadium.
While the stadium is around 3 km from the Getafe city centre, it is still relatively easy to get to. You can take a train, bus or walk to the venue.
