Mapei Stadium – Citta del Tricolore is the home ground of the Serie A team Sassuolo and is a multi-purpose venue with a maximum capacity of 21,525. It also serves as the home ground for Serie C team A.C. Reggiana and replaced the Stadio Mirabello. It was the venue for the Supercoppa Italiana in 2020 between Napoli and Juventus and the Coppa Italia Final between Juventus and Atalanta in 2021. In addition to football, it is also used as a venue for the bigger rugby union matches for the team Zebre of Parma, which takes part in the United Rugby Championship.
During the 2011-2012 season, the football team Capri also used the Mapei Stadium for their home matches.
2016, the venue then played host to the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final 2016. One of the unique features of the stadium is the water-filled moat that runs between the stands and the pitch to try and prevent people from invading the pitch. As the water comes from a local river, bored fans have often been able to fish in the moat.
