Olypiastadion based in Olypiapark Berlin has a capacity of 74,475 and is used as the home ground for Hertha BSC. The team has used it since 1963. The size of the crowds that gather every week, and the noise they can make, make this such an exciting football stadium to visit.
In addition to Hertha home matches, it was used for athletics competitions and various important matches, such as three during the FIFA World Cup in 1974 and six matches, including the final during the FIFA World Cup in 2006, after it was renovated specifically for the event. Traditionally, the DFB-Pokal final is held annually at the stadium.
It also hosted the UEFA Champions League Final in 2015 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011 and will be used for five games and the final of the UEFA Women’s World Cup in 2024.
