Based in Cremona in the Lombardy region of Italy, Cremonese is a team that competes in the Serie B league of Italian football. Founded in 1903, the team first appeared in the first season of Serie A in 1929-1930, but then suffered many defeats and downturns. The team returned to Serie A again in 1984-1985, 1989-1990, and 1991-92, only staying in the top-flight league for one year each time. At the end of the 1993-1994 season, though, the team returned and remained there until the end of the 1995-1996 season, when they were relegated again.
